Q: What units are available for rental?
A: We have Travel Trailers and Class C Motor Homes.
Q: How old does one have to be to rent?
A: You must be 25 years of age or older.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: No pets are allowed, a minimum $500 cleaning charge applies.
Q: Is a special license needed to drive a motor home?
A: No special license is needed, but each driver must currently be insured and have a valid driver's license.
Q: Is there a minimum number of days for a rental?
A: Yes, there is a 3-night minimum in most cases, or a 4-night minimum if it's a holiday and we are closed.
Q: How soon can rentals be made?
A: Rentals can be made at any time if the unit is available. Units are first come, first served, and a deposit must be made to hold a unit.
Q: What do I need to do to make a reservation?
A: The easiest and quickest way is to contact us right from the rental page for the unit on our website through the contact form. You can also call us at (715) 573-9356.
Q: What if I have to cancel my rental?
A: You can cancel at any time, but we prefer if you give us at least a 48-hour notice.
There are no refunds on cancelled rentals.
We will give you the option to move to another date within the same rental year if dates are available.
Q: When can I pick up the unit and drop it off?
A: Your pickup time will be scheduled at the time of reservation, if you arrive more than 15 minutes late you will have to re-schedule for the next available opening.
Drop off is by 11 AM on the return date, if the unit is not returned by noon of the return date without prior notification, the charge for an extra day will be added.
Q: Is a deposit required to reserve a unit?
A: Yes, a non-refundable deposit is required at time of reservation to hold your unit.
$100 for travel trailers, and $250 for motor homes.
Q: When do I pay for my rental?**
A: A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of reservation, the remaining balance is due at the time of pick up.
Q: What is the security deposit?
A: The security deposit costs $500 for travel trailers, or $1,000 for motor homes, and is used for:
- Insurance deductables
- Damages
- Lost items
- Refueling
- Dumping
- Cleaning charges
- Any other expenses that occur
Q: Are units insured?
A: All units are insured. Roadside assistance is available for an additional fee.
Q: What is supplied with my rental?
A: The following is supplied with your rental:
- Water hose
- Sewer hose
- 30-amp electrical cord and adapter
- Broom and dust pan
- Chemicals for black tank
- 20 lb. filled propane tanks
Q: Can I drive the RV out of the country?
A: Yes, you are allowed to travel out of the country, but it is your responsibility to have all of the required documentation.
Q: Can I park my vehicle at your facility?
A: Yes, you can park your vehicle at our facility during your trip.
Motor Homes
Q: How many people can ride in a motor home?
A: The number of passengers cannot exceed the number of seat belts in the motor home. It is your responsibility to ensure that appropriate child safety seats are available.
Q: Are passengers of a motor home allowed to consume alcohol while it is being driven?
A: This is illegal in the sate of Wisconsin. Open container laws apply to motor homes when they are being used as a motor vehicle.
Q: Can I tow anything with my RV rental?
A: No, you can not tow anything. A hitch rack or bike rack may be used.
Q: What are the mileage costs?
A: Our mileage rate is $0.30 per mile. For every 2,000 miles driven, the next 500 miles are free.
Q: Do you charge for generator use?
A: No, we do not charge for the use of the generator on motor homes.
Travel Trailers
Q: What do I need for towing a travel trailer?
A: The tow vehicle must be appropriately rated for the weight of the trailer.
A 7-way wiring plug, class-3 receiver, and electric brake controller is required. If your vehicle is not equipped with a brake controller, a wireless controller is available to rent.
A Blue Ox weight distribution / anti-sway hitch is included for all travel trailer rentals, a $500 security deposit is required.
Q: What about the generator?
A: Travel trailers do not include a generator, you may bring your own or rent one from us (subject to availability)
To power a travel trailer, you will need a minimum of 2,5000 watts with a recommended minimum of 4,500 watts.
Returns
The following must be done prior to return of the rental units.
Dump
Holding tanks must be empty and read "E" on the monitor, plugs are the responsibility of the renter.
Clean
The RV should be returned in the condition in which you received it. Floors, counters, tables, appliances (inside and out), mirrors, sinks, shower, and toilets must all be cleaned.
Personal items removed
It is your responsibility to ensure that no personal items are left in the rental, this includes all interior and exterior storage compartments. Return or pick up of any items left by mistake would be at your cost, items will not be held.
Accessories and rented items
You must ensure that all accessories included with the rental are returned with the unit, this includes items such at remotes, refrigerator drawers, curtains, cushions, TV, etc. Also included are exterior items such as the water hose, regulator, sewer hose, electric cord / adapter, wheel chocks, stabilizer cranks, any included hitch components, etc.
Keys
All keys supplied to the renter must be returned.
Q: Will I receive a refund if I return early?
A: No refunds will be issued if a rental is returned before the scheduled date and time.
